Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using any application or service provided by Rooks Labs LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), including EarnIt, HabitStreak, and TabChop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to use our services.

Description of Service

Rooks Labs LLC provides the following applications:

  • EarnIt: A family allowance management application that allows parents to track chores, manage allowances, and help teach children about money management.
  • HabitStreak: A habit tracking application with streaks, XP/leveling, weekly challenges, accountability groups, and analytics to help users build lasting habits.
  • TabChop: A tip calculator and bill splitting tool for quick calculations at restaurants.

All services are provided "as is" and are intended for personal, non-commercial use.

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use our services, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Account Requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account
  • Child accounts must be created and supervised by a parent or legal guardian
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Subscriptions and Payments

Free and Premium Tiers

Some of our apps (EarnIt, HabitStreak) offer both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium features require an active paid subscription. TabChop is free with no premium tier.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • Payment is processed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled according to the policies of the respective app store (Apple, Google) or payment processor (Stripe).

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Share your account credentials with others outside your family
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Upload malicious code or content
  • Use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Scrape, mine, or collect data from the service
  • Resell or commercially exploit the service

Content and Data

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within our apps (chores, habits, goals, profile information, etc.). By using our service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

Shared Content

Some features allow sharing content with others (family members in EarnIt, group members in HabitStreak). You are responsible for any content you share and should only share appropriate information.

Data Accuracy

Our apps are tracking tools — EarnIt does not connect to actual bank accounts or financial institutions. All balances and transactions are for tracking purposes only and may not reflect actual money held or owed.

Intellectual Property

The service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Rooks Labs LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our service without express written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

EarnIt is a chore and allowance tracking tool — it is not financial advice. HabitStreak is a habit tracking tool — it is not medical or psychological advice. We make no guarantees about specific outcomes from using our applications.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROOKS LABS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rooks Labs LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
